Cologne
Sunlit bright morning
Clean clothes, fresh from the wash
Putrid rotting flowers from a thousand grubby children's hands!
He was ready for his date!
Bad Weather
Hard faced and tight lipped,
Oceans sprang from where he stepped
Moisture ran from his skin to the floor,
Tossed into the house as if tossed from hell
Dragged in with the tides by Titans
He retrieved his errant umbrella from the stand
Batman
Dark black night
Marble profile
Shrieking weapon
Silent stare
Only human
Knight of old
Chariot on wheels
And a tiny bird
That follows behind him
Night
Light, shattered across a velvet blanket of sky
piercing the blue veil of day.
Indigo ink spilled from heaven's inkwell
to stain the fabric of space.
Only thousands of glass shards
sparkle here now.
