Painful Resignations

A world full of faces
None of them have names
Numbers on cards
Played in a game

Corperate constructions
Shambling like zombies
Waiting for Friday
Drinking like donkeys

Children to feed
Spouses and sex
Child support
Sent to your ex

Dogs, cats, house
White picket fence
Or landlords, loud neighbours
Paying the rent

Dreaming of mansions
While you clock in again
Its the dream of a nation
Of faceless women and men
